They say it is to refocus their brand to take on the maturity of competitors like IBM who have long left manufacturing and focused more on software and support.
This comes as a shock to most in the PC industry but in today’s tumultuous economic conditions, it may simply be a way of taking out some of the risk they are for the PC industry is quite influenced a lot by economics.

With tablets getting more and more popular, netbooks are beginning to feel the jitters. There are studies that tablets are beginning to eat into the market share of netbooks.
But as a person who just recently bought a netbook, I think netbooks don’t have anything to worry about. There are still a number of things that tablets don’t do as well as netbooks and it may take a number of iterations before tablets develop the necessary technologies or features that will be enough to replace netbooks. Just ask any writer who writes tons of articles. A netbook’s keyboard is still a huge benefit to them compared to the virtual keyboards of tablets.

Toshiba has been long known as a good manufacturer of reliable laptops and it is surely not stopping. To date, Toshiba has released new Satellite and Satellite Pro laptops whose specs have yet to be revealed.

The only thing that can be said right now is the glossy black finish which combines stylish slim-line chassis design with desirable features.

The range offers a textured palm rest, touchpad with metallic mouse buttons and a quick launch multimedia bar, with touch-sensitive buttons and LED lighting.

Additionally, it will have the usual Intel and AMD chips along with some graphic card visualization to adhere towards the demands of most techy freaks today.

However, if you want to check your mail amid this excitement and fun then in such circumstances, just configure your phone with hosted Exchange provider that will enable access to your mails.

However, language is not a barrier when using Exchange server host as Exchange 2010 hosting is available in a variety of language packs.
Dell has been continuing its dark horse ways in the world of laptop technology and while it has been quiet, it has features that surely will not go unnoticed. Dell claims that the XPS M1330 is the world’s thinnest 13.3-inch notebook and, while we wouldn’t dispute that for the front of the chassis (23mm), it’s far off the mark when it comes to the rear of the chassis, which measures some 34mm thick.

Stylish and feature-rich, the XPS M1330 is Dell’s best ultraportable to date. No, make that the best 13.3-inch notebook you can currently buy that doesn’t have an apple as a logo.

Earlier in the month Dell and Best Buy announced Inspiron and XPS laptops would be available for sale in Best Buy retail stores nationwide in the U.S. They missed the holiday sale season, but the Dell machines are now on the shelves.

The XPS M1330 with white alpine lid is available at BestBuy.com at the moment and is priced at $1,249.99 with the following configuration:

Intel T5450 1.66GHz processor
Intel X3100 graphics
13.3″ WXGA screen with 2.0MP web camera
2GB RAM
Dell 1390 wireless
DVD±RW/CD-RW optical drive
160GB 5400RPM hard drive
6-cell battery

When you configure the same specs on Dell.com right now this laptop costs $1,279, so the BestBuy deal is actually slightly better. The problem is of course you can’t custom configure the XPS M1330 at Best Buy like you can via Dell.com.

When you configure the same specs on Dell.com right now this laptop costs $1,279, so the BestBuy deal is actually slightly better. The problem is of course you can’t custom configure the XPS M1330 at Best Buy like you can via Dell.com.

Also available on BestBuy.com is the Inspiron 1420 for $999 with the following configuration:

Intel T5450 1.66GHz processor
Intel X3100 graphics
14.1″ WXGA screen with 2.0MP web camera
2GB RAM
Dell 1390 wireless
DVD±RW/CD-RW optical drive
250GB 5400RPM hard drive
6-cell battery

The same configuration on Dell.com costs $1,194 right now, so again the Best Buy deal is cheaper. However, if you have Dell online coupon codes or know how to configure a machine cheaper online, such as getting the minimum amount of memory and upgrading RAM yourself, then you can still get the better deal online.

All the same, many people will be interested in testing out these Dell machines in a store and some people that prefer to buy from somewhere they can walk into will also prefer this purchase method.

Hewlett Packard is making headway in the mobile computing industry and for sure, it has ranked among the preferred laptops in the market today. You would be forgiven for thinking, after seeing all the TV advertising, that the only notebooks you can buy are powered by Intel processors. But there are AMD alternatives out there and some offer good value for money. One of the latest in HP’s Compaq business range is the AMD-powered 6715b, which offers a good set of features.

For the small business on a limited budget, the Compaq 6715b is worth looking at, as it offers a good set of features including some serious security. It all comes for a decent price, although weighing as much as it does, it may be limited in its on-the-road appeal.
