Toshiba has always been among the top choices when it comes to mobile computing choices. It has been tested and is a known brand in the laptop industry and chances are this new model, the Toshiba Satellite A305 will not be far from being another hot commodity for techie freaks today.

The Toshiba Satellite A305 is a redesign of the older A205, vastly improving the look and feel of the notebook, as well as adding the incredibly durable Fusion finish. While some of the lower body looks similar to the older notebook, everything from the waistline up has changed to a sleeker, softer, and glossier feel.

Asus has slowly made its way as one of the alternative laptops today and depending on the purpose of wanting a laptop, this is perhaps among the alternative choices when it comes to mobile computing today.

The Asus M51 series notebooks are 15-inch laptops offered with a range of Intel Core 2 Duo processors, dedicated graphics, and enough extras to keep most students or families happy.

The Asus M51 is a nice consumer notebook with good performance, decent port selection, and a solid graphics card option for gaming. Asus has clearly risen to the challenge of creating an attractive general use laptop in an attempt to attract a wide range of consumer laptop shoppers.

As far as Hewlett Packard is concerned, not many people gave it a change to survive the notebook industry and was better off focusing on their top quality printers which is preferred in the market. Apparently, they are not yet giving up and this is proven with their continued contributions towards mobile computing today.

Overall, the HP Pavilion dv9700t is terrific. Any junkies fixated on high-end gaming or intense graphics/editing might find this computer lacking some muscle. For everybody else, it combines power, beauty, speed and solid design at a cost that can’t be beat.

Dell has been the darkhorse brand in the laptop industry. It is apparent that not most people would put this brand in mind for brand preference like Toshiba and Compaq. But a little look in depth can provide a lot of different features that can make the Dell Vostro 1310 laptop a good choice.

The Dell Vostro 1310 is available with a range of Intel processors (from the 1.86GHz Celeron M M540 up to the T9500 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo). As far as laptops are concerned, they are not spared from being outdated. Technology changes practically as often as you can blink your eye and one thing that people hate the most is using techie stuff that become passé.
